video performance "The Politics of Living Together" (5'50")
Partial refusal to produce material objects in artistic practices leads to no less diversity tactical decisions. The “politics of living together” combines two modes of immaterial -“production of communities” and “production of acts of participation”. Three undirected flows - handshakes, hugs and kisses form its configurative basis. Organizing for coexistence aims to “…create unity in the context of conflict and dissimilarities” (Chantal Mouffe).
The word politics is “the art of managing the life of communities” (J. Rancière) comes from the Greek polis (city, state). "Real political action" is a “joint action”, an act (praxis). “In action, a person cannot be a ruler, managing or directing the actions of others. He operates in an environment set of equals, and - since one of the aspects of the present political action is the revelation of a unique “I” among this multitude - he has no ability to control this process of disclosure. A person can only initiate political action, oh the greatness or insignificance of which will be judged by the polis” (O. Kharkhordin).
An attempt to combine mutual involvement and the facts of giving comes from the belief that “Aristotle was right, when he showed friendship as the basis of civil communication and saw in giving a way to strengthen our disposition towards others” (V.V. Bibikhin).
