Ulysses 1993
The impetus for the appearance of this work was the novel by James Joyce
Ulysses, which captivated me with its exploration of the possibilities of language. Joyce experiments with the structure of the text of the work.
Intertwined perceptions and experiences, incoherent
muttering, a rushing stream carrying fragments of images and associations
are recorded in the perception of many persons on one object. "Ulysses"
called the gospel
"liberated" consciousness. Familiarity with this novel erased my attachments
and preferences in the creative process,
allowed him to be spontaneous and open. My "Ulysses" is an attempt to liberate
form from any content, leave it to itself.
